Mustang wheels blacked out

We decided to match the new front hubs to the color of the frame. Result, one of a kind durable powder coated sprint car hubs.

What better way to put coatings to the test than a dirt sprint car on the local Indiana dirt tracks. Pictured above: Powder coated chassis, components. High temp ceramic coated racing headers(temps above 1200 degrees), thermal displacement coating on radiator and rear end housing.

Sand blasting FAQ

1. Can you just blast the dirt and grease off the parts?

No.  All parts need to be free of oils and grease.  We recycle our media and reuse it.  If it is contaminated with oil or grease, then the next parts will get blasted with dirty media.

2. Can you mask certain areas so they are not blasted?

Yes.  We use heavy duty tapes that withstand the media.

3.  How much does sand blasting cost?

Our rates are $100/hr. in the large blast room, with a $75 min.  The blast cabinet is $50/hr.

4.  Do you sand blast parts that are powder coated?

That answer varies.  In certain cases, it is cheaper to send it out to get burned off.  We have a company that picks up and delivers from our location.

We do not blast aluminum wheels that have been powder coated.  In most cases, the face of the wheel will be distorted, and will look wavy.  We recommend finding someone that can use a soft media, or chemical strip.
